Enjoy and discover beautiful Guipúzcoa, the mysterious and magical north of Navarre, and the lush Lapurdi region of the French Basque Country while staying at Oiassoenea, located in an unbeatable area of Irún—perfect for planning getaways and visits to the towns, towns, and attractions in these wonderful provinces.
Oiassoenea is a spectacular, newly built home located in the modern Oinaurre neighborhood of Irún. The house is spacious and features every amenity, fully equipped and furnished to accommodate families or groups of up to 10 people. It consists of three floors plus a large garage capable of holding up to three cars. The garage level includes a laundry room and boiler room, with a washer and dryer available for use. The first floor features a very spacious, semi-covered porch-terrace with beautiful views. Inside, you’ll find a modern, fully equipped kitchen with a ceramic-glass cooktop, oven, refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker (Nespresso). Next is a half-bath and a spacious, bright living-dining room with access to the terrace and a beautiful backyard garden with fruit trees. The covered terrace features a large garden table where you can enjoy meals and gatherings outdoors, as well as a seating area perfect for relaxing and enjoying your stay. The first floor features three bedrooms, all with terraces and beautiful views, and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom is very spacious and exceptionally bright. It features its own walk-in closet, an en suite bathroom, and a private terrace with incredible views of Mount Jaizkibel, Txingudi Bay, and Hendaye. The other two bedrooms, bright and spacious, share a large terrace with beautiful views of the Peñas de Aya mountain range. The second floor houses the house’s most “special” room. It is an attic that, although suitable for all types of guests, is ideal for children. It features a bunk bed with two beds and a sofa bed that converts into two beds. It also features a large private terrace with beautiful views of Peñas de Aya.
The home has central heating with a remote-controlled climate control system.
Oinaurre is a completely renovated, modern neighborhood—quiet and unbeatably located—just a ten-minute walk from downtown Irún, a mere five-minute drive from Hondarribia, and less than ten minutes from the French border and Hendaye. There is a bus stop right in the neighborhood. It offers direct and immediate access to the new highway exit toward Donostia and other destinations. It is close to, and offers quick and easy access to, both the coast and the mountains. Additionally, the neighborhood features a bar-restaurant (Bar-Restaurante Oñaurre) and a café. It also features a sports complex with soccer and basketball courts, table tennis, and calisthenics areas, as well as a designated playground. This rental home is in a great location being just a short drive to San Sebastian as well as walking distance throughout Irun. We were able to check in a few hours early which was very nice. The kitchen was mostly functional with space to cook and prep dinner if you are tired of going out. It was also nicely renovated however needs some major cleaning. The kitchen cabinets had lots of food crumbs and even other people's hair in them. There were spiders hiding in many bathroom corners as well as dead bugs in the laundry room and other areas. It seemed clean at first glance but needs a very deep cleaning to be up to regular VRBO standards. Many of the pots and pans were old and worn. My only other recommendation would be to have enough fans for each of the guest rooms. The rooms get very hot in the summer with no A/C even with the windows open. There were only 2 fans for the 4 guest rooms. With some minor upkeep and cleaning this would be a fantastic rental home.
