Exquisite farmhouse in the Empordà Costa Brava

La casa es una auténtica pasada. Celebramos un evento familiar privado de fin de semana y salió todo increíble. Éramos 13 personas y nos repartimos en 7 habitaciones (casi todas con su propio baño), tuvimos muchísima privacidad, que se agradece un montón. La distribución es espectacular: una cocina moderna enorme, un salón-comedor gigante, gimnasio y una bodega muy curiosa en el sótano. La mezcla de decoración neoclásica con toques exóticos nos flipó. Pero lo mejor casi es el exterior; el jardín está cuidadísimo, con un césped impecable, olivos y encinas que le dan un punto rústico brutal. Para ir con niños es de diez, porque hay una casita de madera para jugar, un recinto con tortugas y un gallinero. El parking está asfaltado y caben de sobra más de 6 coches dentro de la finca. Nos vamos encantados, se nota que los dueños miman cada detalle. Repetiríamos sin duda.

Todo genial, pero ponerle alguna pega, al no estar rodeado de montañas, se escucha el sonido de los coches en la autovía próxima, pero no es para nada molesto.

Mas Gotas was even better than we imagined. The villa is absolutely stunning — full of charm, clean, and so much more beautiful in person. The grounds are magical, with olive groves, jasmine, wild lavender, wisteria, chickens, turtles, and so many cozy outdoor spaces. We loved relaxing by the pool and wandering the property. Barbara, our host, was incredibly kind and helpful, and Isa the housekeeper kept everything spotless each day. The villa has 8 comfortable bedrooms, plenty of living spaces, a great kitchen, and a perfect mix of modern comfort and traditional charm. We also loved how convenient it was to Barcelona, Girona, beaches, and nearby shops — but honestly, we didn’t want to leave the property once we arrived!

Nothing — my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

One of the most beautiful houses I have ever stayed in, truly not just a house, but an experience in itself. Every corner, every carefully chosen piece tells its own story, creating an atmosphere of elegance, warmth, and character. The love for detail is present throughout the entire property, making every moment feel special. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, embodying a level of hospitality that made us feel completely at home while still offering the refinement of a luxury getaway. As part of the outstanding service, we also enjoyed a 4-hour daily cleaning by the wonderful Isabelle, who discreetly took care of everything, allowing us to fully relax and focus on enjoying our holiday. This is the kind of place where you immediately feel: you don’t need to search much further. We are already planning to return very soon, I would always come back without hesitation. It’s rare to find a place that combines such aesthetic beauty, thoughtful service, and personal warmth. A place filled with beauty. When you have it, you don’t need more.
