The Oakwood Retreat Marsh View Home with Game Room and Porches

We really enjoyed our stay. The house itself is spacious, beautifully styled, and had everything we needed to be comfortable: coffee mugs, nespresso, cozy couch, nice sized backyard for our doggo to run around in, a full drawer of games, and even propane ready for grilling. Our host, Michael, was lovely, coordinated and communicated every step of the way so we always knew what to expect and knew where to reach out if we needed anything. Loved the location too, perfectly situated so getting downtown wasn't a hassle but neither was getting to North Charleston where my parents live. The neighborhood itself was quaint, with young couples walking around and very quiet as night. Loved the nearby coffee and pizza shops, super up and coming area that was so different just 10 years ago when I lived here!

There are some noises -- plumbing squeaks very loudly sometimes and the master bedroom bed is very creaky. The door to the garage downstairs was jammed for the first two days so we thought it was locked but then realized it wasn't (it's okay, too hot to play foozball anyway!) And there were some holes in the screened in back porch so I was bit by many mosquitos while enjoying my morning coffee. But other than those very small things, everything was perfect.
