Very nice people, special thanks to Nabil who helped us with anything we needed. Also we really enjoyed the breakfast & all the people there giving us and our kids a very nice first family vacation! Kind, helpful, clean & loving! It felt like home

Wish I could stay longer :(

I absolutely loved the riad itself, it was beautifully decorated, full of vibrant colors, and had a lovely atmosphere that made it feel both authentic and relaxing. There were great common areas to unwind and socialize, and the overall design created a very peaceful environment. The room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The attention to detail in both the room and the shared spaces really stood out. All of the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. A special mention to our host, Nabil, who was exceptionally helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us great recommendations and was always available to assist, which truly enhanced our experience. We also really appreciated the calm and quiet atmosphere, and the overall sense of hospitality that made us feel at home. It was a wonderful place to stay, and I would definitely come back.

Our stay at the riad in Marrakech was a mixed but generally positive experience. The highlight was definitely the host, Nabil—a young chap who was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and genuinely lovely to talk to. He made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived and was always available to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast each morning was enjoyable, and the ladies serving were warm and attentive, which added a nice personal touch to the stay.

The room itself was decent and comfortable overall. However, the bathroom could use some improvement. There were no toiletries provided apart from a basic hand wash, which felt a bit lacking. The toilet seat was broken initially, though it was fixed promptly after we reported it, which we appreciated. One downside was the access road to the riad—it was quite dirty and not very pleasant to walk through. Additionally, parking is not directly nearby and requires about a 10-minute walk, which can be inconvenient, especially with luggage.

The staff were genuinely kind and helpful throughout our stay. The two women working at the riad were always friendly and welcoming, and Nabil was very helpful as well, particularly when assisting us with laundry. We also appreciated that the riad accommodated our request to move from the ground-floor room to a room on the first floor.

We booked 9 nights at Riad Dar Ifen. The riad is quite difficult to find, as there is no visible sign or name displayed outside. The surrounding area felt somewhat uncomfortable, particularly in the evenings. During our stay, local children frequently followed us while asking for money, sometimes all the way back to the riad. The riad staff advised us to ignore them, since this became increasingly frustrating over the course of our stay. The room we received on the first floor was rather small, as was the bathroom. The bathroom layout was particularly impractical, with the shower area integrated into a very small space around the toilet and washbasin. Sleeping comfort was also an issue. The air conditioning unit was positioned directly above the bed, blowing toward our heads, making it uncomfortable to use during the night. As a result, the room became quite warm. In addition, lights in the riad courtyard remained on until after midnight, and the light entered our room through the window, making it more difficult to sleep. The most significant concern occurred toward the end of our stay when guests in rooms above ours reported cockroaches in their room. They then switched to another room, where they also reported cockroaches. Although the riad eventually provided insect spray, the situation left us feeling uncomfortable and anxious about remaining there. Because of this, we decided to leave early and book alternative accommodation for the final three nights of our trip. While the staff were kind and tried to help where possible, the combination of comfort issues, location concerns, and the reported cockroach problem ultimately had a negative impact on our stay.
