Puffin Cottage Holidays is proud to present Mallard’s Rest, a wonderful two-bedroom waterside lodge at Canaston Waterside Lodges, where the owners look forward to welcoming you to their peaceful “Noddfa” (sanctuary), nestled in a stunning location in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Just three miles from the market town of Narberth and a short walk or drive to local attractions, including the popular seaside town of Tenby.
A 20-minute walk through Canaston Woods will lead you to Blackpool Mill with it's heritage restaurant and surrounding woodland walks, set alongside the Cleddau River. Steeped in history, this charming Georgian mill has now been beautifully restored and is the perfect place to stop for a cake and coffee after a days' exploring or to enjoy an evening meal.

Mallard’s Rest is one of two lodges at Canaston Waterside Lodges, boasting two large ponds, lawned meadows and uninterrupted distant views of the Pembrokeshire Countryside and Preseli Mountains. There is a large furnished decked terrace, ideal for alfresco dining and a hot tub, making this a peaceful retreat to relax and unwind. A perfect haven filled with nature and wildlife where you can sit back and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. And a great spot for bird watching too! Or you may feel like taking a stroll around the ponds and down to the river to explore more of the wildlife and views.
Enter the property through the front door into the open plan kitchen, living and dining area. Just to the left as you walk through the door, you’ll find coat hooks and a shoe rack – kick off your shoes and hang up your coats before you explore!
Kitchen
Fully equipped with everything you will need for your self-catering holiday including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, hob, electric oven, microwave, crockery, utensils and ample storage space.
Living area
Wall mounted Smart TV and comfortable dining and sofa seating. Direct access to the outside furnished decked terrace with seating, table and a hot tub.
Bedroom 1
King -size bed, wall-mounted Smart TV and ample storage. Door to en-suite. Countryside, pond and terrace views.
En-suite shower room
Walk-in rainfall shower, basin, toilet and freestanding towel rail.
Bedroom 2
Twin bedroom with ample storage. Door to en-suite. Countryside, pond and terrace views.
En-suite bathroom
Bath with rainfall shower over, basin, toilet and freestanding towel rail.
Outside area
Hot tub, large furnished private terrace with balustrades. Views over the countryside, lawned meadows and ponds.
There is parking for up to two cars and an EV charger is available for guests (shared use with the adjacent lodge). Please note that there is a charge for the use of the EV charger.
Two well behaved dogs are welcome, if your bringing you're furry friends, why not take a look our dog friendly beaches guide.
Please note that a returnable good housekeeping and damage deposit of £150 is required.

The Duck Pond, a 2-bedroom lodge adjacent to Mallard’s Rest is also available to let via Puffin Cottage Holidays. Ideal for larger groups or families holidaying together.
Canaston Waterside Lodges also offer breakfast for guests staying at Mallards Rest. This is available at the adjoining Canaston Oaks Bed and Breakfast dining room. This is an optional extra and can be booked and paid for at the main reception on arrival.
