Incredible prop! It was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! We spent our final 3 nights here, and sadly my hubby caught a virus the day before we arrived so we spent more time here than usual. However, this was great as it's a stunning small house in the backyard, opposite a gorgeous newer pool. Photos and description are spot on. It was clean, comfy, relaxed, slighty rustic and filled with eclectic art, jute rugs, org cotton towels, non-toxic cleaning supps, plenty of cooking utensils and condiments. There are tons of thoughtfully planted flowers, bushes, fruit trees...so heavenly you will feel transported to the tropics! Each morning and evening you can watch birds on the feeders, happily eating/chirping. If you're lucky, you might even see one of the resident cats. The owners, Carl and Tara, are the kindest, laid-back folks with 3 beautiful cats and an old cast iron tub in the yard with many colorful fish! It is simply paradise! The 2 mini-splits worked well and were super quiet, so we were always cool and comfy. I admired the well-loved MCM furn and pretty origami birds throughout too. FYI...a previous review stated no curtains on windows...and yes, for the living rm/kit area that is correct but we didn't find an issue when bdrm doors are closed and bathrm has curtains.Location is a typical urban area and is slowly being revitalized. It's incredibly close to Bywater/Marigny/Quarter.We would rent this beautiful place again in a heartbeat! We are honestly bummed to be leaving! 5 STARS!!!

Had such a delightful peaceful stay. I was able to work and walk out and about throughout the week. Love the neighborhood and proximity to everything. Tucked away and although it was too chilly for the pool , it was so nice to know that it’s there. I’m absolutely going to stay there again next time

Great location, super easy to get to the French Quarter but able to get away from the crowds and be in a quieter part of town. The guest house was perfectly sized and very private!

A beautiful clean little cottage that was safely located behind a locked gate in the back courtyard of a beautiful historic home. The courtyard is well-maintained and full of gorgeous plants, a goldfish tub, and beautiful small pool. The cottage was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It took us a 30-minute brisk to walk to get to Jackson Square, but we probably could’ve taken a better route. The walk seemed safe during the day. The neighborhood also seemed safe. The parking was super easy because you are allowed to park in front of the driveway, where regular cars wouldn't know it's ok to park (so the parking spot stays available). The only small thing I would change would be to have a better mirror and lighting in the bathroom to put on makeup. This mirrors were beautiful, but antique, and therefore kind of cloudy. An additional hand towel would have been nice as well, as we only had one in the bathroom. Overall, this was a wonderful, beautiful place to stay. I would stay again, and I recommend it.
