Great Sacandaga Lake - Beautiful 5-bedroom, lakeside cottage available for four weeks during prime Track Season. Property located in the Southern Adirondack Mountains in Edinburg, NY - 6 minutes to downtown Northville, 40 minutes to downtown Saratoga, 50 minutes to Lake George, 2 hrs 15 min. to Lake Placid, 1.5 hrs to Cooperstown. Cottage can only be rented weekly (Saturday - Saturday). Lake life means you'll have access to a large dock (rent or bring your boat-max 25 feet), enjoy our canoe, 3 kayaks and 2 paddle boards.
The 1960's Cottage was completely renovated in 2020 and has a handicapped accessible entrance and a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. House has 3 bathrooms (one w/ a tub) plus an outdoor shower. Bathrooms will be stocked with hair dryers, paper products, soaps, shampoos and towels. Bedrooms include 1 king bedroom with en suite bathroom, 2 queen bedrooms, 1 full bedroom, and a bunk room with twin and full beds. This stunning property has an open living concept on the first floor, a large deck with outdoor dining & seating, fire pit, 50 foot dock and a backyard overlooking the mountains and lake.
The kitchen is a cook's dream with a sleek layout including an island for 4, table for 10 (12 w/kids), modern appliances and the use of an outdoor grill. Spices, cooking oils, condiments will be available in the stocked pantry for renters' convenience. The property also includes WiFi, cable and streaming services, washer/dryer, and AC. Permanent baby gates have been installed at top and bottom of stairs for toddler safety. Hosts also have a large supply of books, toys, indoor board games, a PS5 gaming station and outdoor games/sports equipment (bikes, corn hole, giant Jenga, basketball, etc...) for guests. Large supply of beach towels is also provided for renters' convenience. Historic downtown Northville, with casual dinning, shopping and groceries, is a scenic six minute drive away. Beautiful hiking trails are within 5-20 minutes from the cottage. Pickleball enthusiasts can join as guests at a beautiful local club during your stay. Everything was excellent. Property Manager was great to work with. If we had an issue was taken care of usually that same day.Only surprise, we are from the Midwest, and all of our beaches are sandy. We learned that most beaches in upstate NY are rockier than we are use. Did not diminish use of the beach, just a surprise.Considering going back next year.

Vrbo photos and description of the home were spot on... so many times the property was somewhat lacking and less than we expected... the bedrooms were very comfortable and the lake was beautiful.... truly a great family vacation...

This was the best rental we’ve ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in many over the years. The home was so well equipped and so clean. Unlike many lake houses it was solidly built so everyone slept well even though we had little ones who were up early and teens who stayed up late. It was perfect!

Everything about this property is excellent...plenty of room for our 3-generation family, kitchen was spacious with plenty of dishes and pots and pans, comfortable beds, etc. The check-in was very easy.
