Gotaya Guesthouse

Great place to stay. A 3 bed apartment turned small hostel.Female dorm has onsuite shower room, male dorm and private room share another shower room. Lovely kind host. Outside terrace area, small kitchen and main room to socialise. Simple free breakfast toast, butter, jam, coffee and tea. Filtered water. Excellent location for bus stops to Hanok village, train ,bus station and walking distance to mask festival park, eateries etc. Free bicycles recommend cycling along river to bridge and Andong heritage homes ( salvaged from dam build) and museum all in the area.

Too many volunteers!!...I have no idea what they do to help. Sadly they are not a source of information ,tips or help, very slow and reluctant.Friendly enough but very lazy. Taking over by lounging around, leaving things around, having evening drinks etc and then not clearing up! Host works very hard .I witnessed him clearing up after them and doing laundry early morning. Very disappointing behaviour. Quite compact and cluttered space. Lack of storage. Not particularly clean. Hard to find cars parked at entrance . Not suitable if you have large heavy luggage. Very hard mattress made sleeping uncomfortable also hot room air con set 26!! Mosquitoes day and night.. Sadly too many Israelis in South Korea spoiling my trip being disrespectful being loud waving their flags around! How dare you, Shame on you and will never be forgiven.

Super günstig inklusive kleinem Frühstück. Man hat die Möglichkeit Kleider in der Waschmaschine zu waschen. Nette und hilfsbereite Volontärinnen.

Die Frauenschlafräume haben zuviele Betten.

The stay is taken in charge by volunteers. Lucky for having met so interesting other guests except one

The smaller bathroom was for the 6-female dormitory

+ The host allowed me to leave my luggage in the hostel before check-in + good free Wi-Fi + power outlets by the bed + you can control air conditioning + quiet and convenient ocation + there is a kitchen with refrigerator

- Hair and small debris in the shower and sinks - no hot water in the shower - stains on the bed linen - the kitchen is dirty
