Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le logement. Appartement propre. A 100 mètres du Souk el Had ( le plus grand d’Afrique du Nord ). Très pratique d’ailleurs pour prendre un taxi pour visiter (plage, médina..) Karim est très gentil et serviable, il est très réactif pour toutes aides ou questions. En fait, il s’agit d’une maison / immeuble sur 2 étages. L’appartement est au 1er, et Karim et sa famille vivent au 2 eme. Le lave linge est sur la terrasse, nous avons pu faire nos machines. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir :)

Beautiful place in an amazing position, 5 minutes walking from the biggest market in Agadir. The rooftop was a beautiful place to rest and enjoy the sunset. Karim was a super host always available (he lives in the same building). I really recommend this place

Karim is heel erg aardig en communiceert heel snel. Hij verteld van te voren dat de buren bezig waren met verbouwing, maar we hadden geen last van omdat we overdag weg waren. Als compensatie heeft Karim aangeboden om ons naar het vliegveld te brengen. Het accomodatie was schoon en ruim had een rooftop. We konden goed slapen en douchen.

Het water in de douche liep soms minder goed naar beneden maar Karim heeft dat verholpen. Het bed in de kinderkamer was erg hard.

+ The apartment is located in close proximity to Suq al-Had, a large market place offering all the treasures of Morocco at negotiable prices. These include spices, earthenware, tajines, jewellery, clothing and so forth. You can find affordable places to eat out at, including inside the suq and right outside its walls. Dar Hbib accepts credit card. There are currency exchange offices and ATMs nearby. If you want to rent a car, you'll find at least one agency offering them deposit-free. + Despite its proximity to the suq, the area is quiet, most likely owing to how it is separated from busier streets by other houses. No cafés, clubs or wedding halls in the area. + You can chance to find a parking space in one of the lanes running perpendicular to the one where the apartment is located. + The apartment offers a basic set of utensils, bedclothes, furniture and so on. There's a microwave in the kitchen. No issues with the hot-cold water flow control and ratio in the shower. + There's a crib/infant bed in the main bedroom. + The rooftop offers both a European table with chairs and a Moroccan one with floor cushions. It's a peaceful area, great for reading books (the ones you brought with you) and eating your own food. Plus, there's a laundering machine you are free to use.

Karim, who runs this hospitality business, i.e., the apartment, has shown difficulties in grasping the meaning of "hospitality", that is, at least in the beginning of our interaction. This has to do with the way he reacted to us not meeting the time window we initially indicated. Here's the full story: we were driving back from Ouarzazate, which is a city located over 300 km inland -- an over 5-hour drive through the desert and mountainous areas. Taking this road, we were stopped by the police and it took more time than expected to settle the matter. This was the main reason why we missed the initially indicated time window. We weren't that much bothered by the fact. After all, it was just an approximated time of arrival. When Karim texted us and learnt that we would arrive 1,5 hour later than expected, he made sure his displeasure was explicitly communicated... with a question mark followed by an exclamation mark. Then, Karim wrote he would not be at the apartment to let us in because he had other matters to attend to. Mind you this was after we had issues the required payment. He also demanded that we send photos of our passports before arrival and making his acquaintance. His attitude left us feeling uncomfortable and somewhat like hostages of a person whose job was to facilitate our experience, no make it more stressful, especially not while driving a car. We decided to call him instead of stopping or typing while driving. When we got each other on the line, we apologized for the inconvenience. He replied with the most petulant "But I also had my own plans, you know?" Yeah... Dude, if you're reading this, you really need reminding that you're running a HOSPITALITY BUSINESS. The "hospitality" part means that you make sure your guests, aka clients, feel welcomed at any-darn-time, no matter the circumstances. The "business" part means we are bound by a service provider-consumer relationship.
