Gangaram osian village home stay

The property is maintained by a family who have added tourist accommodation next to their home. As a result, it is a unique facility where you can experience authentic Indian village life including cooking using traditional methods. The warmth of the family seeps through this stay. It really reminds of an older slower time when life was much easier (albeit with modern amenities 😃)

This was such a lovely trip away from the hustle and bustle of most Indian cities. The family who hosted us is gorgeous and very accommodating (they organised a car to pick us up from Jodhpur at a reasonable price including drop offs at Osian temples and Mandore garden) and we enjoyed chatting with them and meeting their lovely children and beautiful grandma. The homemade meals were super delicious and we enjoyed our campfire under the stars and camel ride. The camels were so cute. Very peaceful stay.

I loved the property. Only thing to be mindful of is that there js a temple close by and they ring the bell around 7am so don’t expect to have a sleep in! :) Also the jeep took us to a small sandy area where people could do paragliding and other touristy things. Personally I didn’t really think we needed to go there and I would have liked to just spend more time with the family at their homestay.
