Highclere Villa

Really clean and well maintained property with a delightful garden and small private pool. Traffic noise didn’t bother us at all. The nearest stretch of beach is almost deserted and beautiful (can’t swim in it though, it’s red flag stuff, no lifeguards) and I highly recommend Zephyr restaurant and Serendipity bar nearby in the evening. Tuktuks into Mirissa are very cheap and easy to find. The owners helped me prebook a tuktuk to make sure I got to the whale watching club on time, as it’s a very early start.

The pool gets most of the sun, which is nice but the sunbeds are largely in the shade. My bedroom had only one light option, which was operated by a switch that isn’t next to the bed, the rooms could do with a bedside lamp. There isn’t an adequate supermarket within walking distance but Cargills is a cheap tuktuk ride away.
