Discovering Pannadikadu homestay was just serendipitous. It nestles like a hidden gem at the foothills of the Parambikulam range. Take the Chemmanampathy - Muthalamada road to avoid the Pollachi town or a bit of Kollengode village (via TN or Kerala). The road is good and scenic. Pannadikadu Homestay is absolutely gorgeous, styled very aesthetically with loads of flowering shrubs, trees and climbers beautifully tended to by Nina, our host George's mom. She loves her enormous garden and is very generous in sharing her knowledge about tending plants. She and my wife got along like a house on fire. Thomas or Tom as he is affectionately called, George's dad is the sweetest and gentlest person one can know. A well read ex media person and deeply spiritual. George was a delight. It was an honour to meet a youngster who was cordial, respectful, intelligent and could keep you engaged with his talks. The food was absolutely delicious and despite our protests each meal was elaborate and sumptuous. Nina and Tom went to great lengths to find out our likes and tease our palette with delicacies. The room we stayed in was spacious, airy, bright and clean. There was ample storage, an extra bed, kettle and a lovely balcony from where one could gaze at the mountains. The dining and common area were beautiful and welcoming with huge bay windows overlooking the lush garden. They have a reasonable collection of books to suit every taste. The most unexpected bonus was the two well maintained geared bicycles which we pedalled merrily along the countryside on both days we were there. There is a very safe 15 km route that Tom told us about. We also had a great walk up the hill and a little way into the forest too. Perfectly safe during the daytime. The farm has lots of animals and birds including cows, chicken, 2 cats and 4 dogs and also a nesting sunbird! We had the most wonderful time there chatting nineteen to the dozen with Nina, Tom and George. Didn't want to leave.

Perfect stay amidst nature overlooking the mighty mountains - what more could someone ask looking for perfect staycation! We had an amazing 2 days of stay and really loved the hospitality by our hosts Mr. Thomas and family. They took really utmost care of us. For us the highlight was the food, it was so delicious and all home cooked with fresh ingrediants. Special mention to kallu appam and stew. We were also served with fresh toddy and homemade tepache. The place is spread across acres with lush green mangroves and walk through these mangroves with mountain in the background was so serene. Our kid was the most happiest running among the mangroves. There was also a lot of variety of plant and trees with birds chirping away. The room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained and the overlooking mighty mountains view from balcony was the main highlight. Common area which has a dining hall and sitting room with a small collection of good books. The common area is designed beautifully with little trinkets and it is a place where you can just sit in peace and enjoy a good book or a cup of coffee. Homestay is slightly located away from main road and the last few meters in reaching the stay might feel like bumpy ride. GPS navigation will direct to correct location. The mobile network would be weak (good to enjoy your stay), but they provide wifi connectivity in room as well as lobby. Overall we had a great staycation and the hospitality was amazing. We will be definitely be looking forward to going back to this property.
Wifi connectivity could be improved at rooms.

The place is wonderful. If you need village life away from your daily hustle place to go. The hosts, food and place is great
If you are planning to go around ensure you have your own vehicle unless you are planning to stay with in property. Otherwise you can’t get out and also not economical.
