It was a cozy environment

Host was asking for security deposit upon check in, this was quite new to me as I have never been asked for this whenever I booked an apartment for short stay. Also this was not stated on booking.com when I was booking the apartment. Although I didn’t pay as I told owner that I wasn’t comfortable with his request. He backed off after I told him this was not stated on website though he claimed it was but when I told him I had screenshots of the property policies and it wasn’t highlighted at any point. Also, there is no fan in room so it was hot due to being summer and I couldn’t sleep well cos of this. There were tiny flies about although there was a fly repellent in place but it didn’t do the job. Asides all the above stated, it was a small but cozy space.
