House Corte

Loved this house. We are a family with 2 kids and this House was a great choice. Its perfectly located to the main action in Vis with the yachts and marina area, shops, supermarket, bars and cafes all within a 2 or 3 minute walk. So convenient to be able to just walk down the street and be close to everything within just a few minutes. The main beach in Vis with its cafe and bar is also only a 5 minute walk along the bay which we found very helpful. Really liked the property, its a traditional stone house, super charming on two floors. In a typical small sidestreet among other houses. Very well equipped has a washing machine, dishwasher, smart tv, well equipped kitchen with a great cooker and really clean with more than enough space for our family of four. One of the big advantages of this house which is the outdoor space as it has a sunny upstairs terrace just off from the kitchen where we would enjoy our breakfasts and morning coffee and a bit of sunbathing, while also only the ground floor having a really nice enclosed private courtyard with its own stone bbq area where we would spend early evenings relaxing. Both spaces have dining tables and chairs so you have options. From experience its hard to find outdoor space with traditional houses in old towns which makes this place a bit unique. Its only a 2 minute walk from the main ferry terminal. Really recommend this place for its location and its charming traditional feel while also having great amenities and that outdoor space. The agency NAVIGATOR Vis Villas were also incredibly helpful and responsive throughout.

House does not have its own dedicated parking. However there is an official free public parking space about a 3 minute walk from the property. As mentioned if on foot its a 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal.

Very nice, cosy apartment, with fantastic terraces up and downstairs. It's very comfortable for a family with 2-3 kids. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the washing machine is a nice addition. It's located in the very center of Vis town, so we practically didn't use a car while being there. The apartment is nicely renovated and has its own unique style. I'm taking it as an advantage, but it may not be so for everyone - the apartment is placed right in the middle of tightly connected old houses, with narrow streets and neighbours in close proximity. Therefore, one has to be prepared to encounter other people, terrace close to terrace, and door to door. But that's the Vis vibe.

The only thing I didn't like about the apartment - but it's a thing that unfortunately cannot be changed - is the distance to the parking lot. There is no possibility of parking your car nearby, not even to unpack your luggage - there is only a walking path, and one has to drag the suitcases around 300 m upwards. It can be an unpleasant experience when unexpected.
