About this apartment rental
Situated in the stunning locale of Canico de Baixo the apartment is 10min drive from the airport and 10min from the City of Funchal. Overlooking the beach of Reis Magos it offers amazing views out to sea and of the nearby 'desertas' islands in a very tranquil area. 1 large living room that continues through double patio doors onto a large balcony overlooking the gardens and sea, flat screen TV, DVD, Cable with 111 channels (Portuguese, English, German, French + other languages) Telephone for incoming and local calls. 1 kingsize bedroom with TV, DVD, Cable with 111 channels (as above) Also has double doors leading onto the balcony. Fully equipped kitchen with laundry area with small reading library, Dining area both indoor and outside. Large Shower room with toilet, bidet and wash sink. Private parking area and elevator access with secure entry. 1 min from the beach, local fish restaurant, other restaurants and bars plus the bus stop is only a 2/300 meter walk. From here you can easily reach Funchal and the many Levada walks that are dotted around this area.
Scuba Diving: The base is located in Madeira's sole underwater nature reserve which is the only one in the Atlantic with the DIN-Certification and it has received awards for the best diving base
Transfer from the airport: Transfers from the airport can be easily arranged by me for you. This is arranged with a local company who will pick you up from the airport and take you directly to the apartment. They will also wait should there be any problems with delays, plus there are taxis right outside the airport if you would prefer to make your own way there.
Golfing: Palheiro golf course is only 7km away or 15mins by car. Classic hills, ridges,deep valleys and thoroughfares have all been incorporated into the terrain to produce a dramatically interesting course, with stunning views. Arrangements can easily be made for our clients at the Club (bookings etc) as well as a free informal chat with the local British golf captain and his wife, great, if you would like a more in depth guide.
Also the spectacular 27-hole Santo da Serra golf course [also known as Campo de Golfe part of the PGA European Tour] is within easy reach - 13km away. This is Madeira’s oldest golf course. It sits high up on a plateau and is marvelously scenic with inspirational views back up the mountains and out over the Atlantic below.
Car Hire: Once a booking has been made i have a list of car hire companies that i can send you should you wish to hire a car.

Fabulous views, spent hours just watching out to sea

When we arrived we were impressed by the spaciousness of the apartment,all the areas were well planned and very bright and airey.Everything we wanted for our 2 week stay was there,so overall this suited our needs.The only downside was the fact that despite it's fantastic views of the Atlantic ocean,the position was very elevated,although we knew by the photo's we were not expecting such a tiresome walk to and from the beach.The nearest local supermarket was down the hill and was a effort to get supplies back up around a 20 min round trip.After a couple of days we realised that for a couple in their early 60's the shopping trip was not an easy task,so what we decided to do was to catch the bus at the top of the hill about 300mts away and go on day trips and combine this with doing the shopping,this was a lot easier for us.For anyone who likes walking this would not be a problem but for us it was a chore.Overall we were happy with the apartment but if we were aware of the the hilly position we would probably have not gone for it.Please do not me put anyone off this property it was very modern and clean.

We spent most of our week on the beach in front of the apartment eating the local specialities at the little restaurant. Apartment was great and just like the photos. Brilliant holiday and absolutely love Madeira.

We had a perfect stay in this beautiful apartment in Canico de Baixo. It looks right over the sea and we made the most of it by sitting on the balcony for hours. The apartment was really stylish and modern and had ample facilities in the kitchen to make a full evening meal, so after a day of hiking, we cooked and enjoyed the view.
I really wanted to stay longer ....... If your thinking of booking do it! You wont regret staying in this lovely apartment. Thanks to the lady who met us with the keys and the emails from Mike. We truly had a wonderful stay and hope to be back soon
