About this house rental
The local mountain, the Simmersberg, offers a fantastic panoramic view, which you can almost equally enjoy from our very own viewing platform. The view from the sunroom is just as impressive.
Children can play on the small playground next to the house, and parents can always keep an eye on them from the sunroom or the exclusive outdoor seating area.
Enrich your cultural experience by visiting museums or taking excursions to Ilmenau, the city of Goethe, combined with a hike to the Kickelhahn, where Goethe wrote “Wanderer’s Night Song.” Bamberg with its historic old town, the fortress town of Coburg, the arms-making town of Suhl with its arms and vehicle museum, the state capital Erfurt, the Premonstratensian monastery in Vessra, and much more are among the nearby destinations.
We’re happy to assist you with your planning and provide tips for excursions and hikes.
With the guest card, you can take advantage of the benefits of the Thüringer Waldcard, including use of public transportation.
The fully equipped kitchen offers the advantage of self-catering and preparing meals to your own taste. You can do this, but you don’t have to. With the Hotel and Restaurant Dreispitz in Schnett, Café and Restaurant Anna in Heubach, the Schwarzer Adler in Fehrenbach, and the various restaurants in Masserberg, there is a wide variety of dining options, complemented by the restaurants at the ski lifts, the Werraquellhütte located in the forest between Fehrenbach and Masserberg, and the Triniusbaude near Masserberg.
If you’re an active vacationer who enjoys cycling, there are plenty of options here as well. Schnett, with its ridge-top location, offers the chance to ride at “high elevation” without having to descend into the valleys and then climb back up again.
Would you like to stay in touch via email while on vacation? You can—Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire house.
