Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cet hébergement. L’accueil a été chaleureux et nous nous sommes sentis les bienvenus dès notre arrivée. La chambre et la literie étaient propres et confortables. La salle de bain est partagée avec les autres locataires. Tout s’est très bien passé, nous recommandons !

We absolutely loved staying here. They made us feel welcomed and right at home. The upstairs is dedicated to guests; it has 3 rooms (at least the one we saw) and one bathroom, which I believe is shared with the other rooms. The family is the sweetest, and they have a small baby who's the cutest. (If you're scared of hearing the baby crying, don't worry, because during the week we stayed there, we couldn't hear her once) - The room is basic with a fan, and we also had access to the balcony. We asked to put the mosquito net as it rained for a few days, and they were killing us, ahaha. Wifi was okay; we had a few issues due to the flooding, but we managed to stay connected for a bit. They recently opened, and it is not even a year but we absolutely loved staying with them.

The owner picked us up from our previous location and he has a tuktuk available to take you places you want to go, at the local (or pick me) rates. The guesthouse has only been open for two months, a completely new stylish building where everything is brand new and super clean. It was such a pleasure to have this beautiful room with balcony, a kingsize bed with a super thick and soft mattress, nice big white hotel towels, dim and bright lights in the room and on the balcony. It's a shared bathroom for three rooms, but we were the only ones staying there. In the evening the owner invited us for tea and cookies and we had a chat about our lives and our countries. The owner used to work as a chef in a classy restaurant and now offers breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse. He grows his own organic vegetables in his garden and is very passionate about that, as well as cooking. He will do anything to make the guests feel comfortable and at ease. What a very lovely place to be! Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to have dinner there, but the breakfast was a feast. The best meal I had in Sri Lanka, with whole and organic foods. Fresh pure buffalo curd with coconut honey, fruits, string hoppers, coconut roti, banana pancakes, dahl, .... More then we could handle! Eat this at a restaurant and you will definitely pay double the price, or more. There is a shared lounge inside, a beautiful terrace outside on the first floor and a little rooftop balcony to see the sunrise and to do some yoga in the calm and quiet of the day. The house is surrounded by lush green trees everywhere. Birds all around... So lovely. We slept so well and it was very quiet at night. And only 1km from the beach and from the city. Eventually the owner dropped us at the bus station and got us on the right bus, helped us with our luggage. The beautiful food and kindness of these people really put a smile on my face and in my heart.

The Homestay was only opened two months ago: everything is new and clean. The bathroom is shared but I had it to myself. There is a nice balcony with a permanent breeze. The host has a tuktuk and offers tours at very fair prices. He collected me for free from the bus stand and also returned me there free of charge. Wifi is reliable and fast. Highlights of the day are breakfast and dinner. The host was a chef and prepares amazing meals. I couldn't imagine better food. He has started cookery classes which sound perfectly organised. He treats you like a good friend and shows his big heart in everything he does. Highly recommended.
