Apartment in Lillehammer

The property is situated above a body of water with extraordinary views from the yard. It's a basement apartment with owners living upstairs (we did not hear a single peep from above during our stay). The yard is landscaped beautifully and there are multiple places to sit outside if you like. We used the washer immediately (last stop of 10 day trip), and used the supplied rack for drying. As a US traveler abroad, we found laundry to be a challenge. Very happy to have the washer but drying clothes did take quite a while. I'm sure there's a better way and we just didn't ask. There were minimal kitchen pantry items and very well stocked cabinets with plenty of cookware and utensils, pod coffee maker, hot pot, and drip coffee maker (I think even a french press). After multiple nights sharing small hotel rooms, we were ecstatic to spread out here. It would be perfect for a family with the bedrooms spread out, so you aren't on top of each other. The unit is below ground, but every room had a large window with a step up for fire escape, and my worrier of a mother was totally at ease with this setup. There were multiple zones for the heating, we didn't really need it so I didn't play around to see how it worked, but at the very least, the bathroom floor was heated, which was lovely. Water pressure was insanely good, water flavor was amazing as it is everywhere in Norway, if you're not familiar, do not waste money on bottled water, it's so tasty out of any tap. If you've never used a conduction stovetop, just google the model and it's super easy, but don't try and wing it if you don't know. The family upstairs has small dogs, we love dogs, so we were excited to interact if they happened to be out, but they kept them completely separate and we didn't hear or see them at all (mentioning if you are afraid of K-9s). Kiwi grocery store is just over the small hill or drive/walk around about a block for access.

I am always a bit scattered when accessing a vacation rental when there are other people on property. This is not a dislike, just a statement that the lockbox wasn't obvious to me and if the owner hadn't been there to show it, I would have struggled. Again, probably just me!

Es ist zwar eine Kellerwohnung aber eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, alles da was man braucht! Lage ist super!

Pent og koselig. God plass, fin plassering. Såg at det var gjort det lille ekstra for at vi skulle føle oss velkommen. Supert å ha vaskemaskin og tørkestativ.
