The location was so central to all the places we needed to be with easy access in and out of Nth Parramatta. It was also great having secure parking off the street and out of the weather.

I suggested to the host that the queen bed was a little uncomfortable, and suggested they take a look at that.

It suited our purpose for the time required. Faizal was pleasant in our message interactions. Location excellent and it was good to have laundry facilities while we were having our own apartment building’s plumbing fixed.

Wasn’t very comfortable at all. Has a huge television but not much else to greatly recommend it besides location. There’s even a tree growing out of a drainpipe on the balcony. A little surprised at the poor maintenance of both materials and cleanliness of the property plus the fact there weren’t the usual inclusions such as body wash and shampoo, considering the overall cost of the booking. The bathrooms are in quite a state of disrepair and are obviously in original condition (at least 25 years old). Dripping taps, smelly drains and nowhere to put toiletries. One shower sends water all over the floor. The beds were super uncomfortable and are ready for their Council Cleanup. The bed linen items and towels were old and tired. I suppose it’s making more money for the owners than long term rental, even with the cost of rent at an all time high. Obvious the Strata in the building isn’t interested in repairing and upgrading what is essentially a very dated and poorly constructed complex. Again, leaves the guest feeling they’ve paid too much for not a lot of comfort. On occasion there were quite pungent cooking smells and the next door apartment had children who would scream and make all kinds of banging noises when they should have been quiet in bed. Have travelled extensively, and even in places you might expect more rudimentary conditions (a mountain village in Kazakhstan, for example) I’ve paid much less for more comfortable facilities. Granted, the “hosts” (inverted commas because you never see them) here are running this as a money-making venture and they want as much return on investment without any extra overheads apart from a management company’s basic package.
