Nuevo Ecolodge Cabañeros

El lugar es perfecto para desconectar, compartir en familia y disfrutar de la naturaleza. La cabaña es muy completa, cómoda y sobre todo muy acogedora. Llevamos a nuestro perro y se lo gozo también jejeje. Los dueños nos trataron con mucha amabilidad y el día 1 Raquel nos dió la guía de lo que podíamos hacer cerca del lugar. Recomendamos hacer la ruta del Boquerón, está a unos 25 min en coche desde el ecolodge y reservar con tiempo el 4x4 del parque nacional ya que es concurrido (nosotros no lo sabíamos y no logramos pillar hueco). Otra recomendación que hacemos es que lleves comida para preparar en el alojamiento ya que los pueblos están a 25-30 minutos y relativamente no hay muchos servicios. En general mi esposo y yo pasamos unos días increíbles, lo recomendamos sin duda al 100%

POSITIVES The site was easy straight to find off the main road. Easy to park. Clean. Big soft towels. Hot shower. Comfortable bed. Comfortable pillows. The aircon worked well - essential in August. The coffee pots were appreciated. The hob ring was quick to heat. Dog friendly. Other guests were very friendly at the plunge pool. WhatsApp information about the surrounding area was comprehensive.

OUR BAD: Important note to anyone booking these lake view lodges... the lake is NOT accessible from the cabins. There is one half hour walk up the hill from the cabins where you can view the lake in the distance... then walk back the way you came... but other than that there are no walks from the site. We enjoy walking and were disappointed to discover you need your car to get anywhere. In fact you can only view the lake from your car.... something explained to us by the staff at the nearest visitor centre. As there are no publicised walks around the lake, (it's literally fenced off) our vision of our dog happily playing in and out of the water (on his lead) were not to be. Also, don't mistake"peace" and "quiet". They do not mean the same thing. Whilst the site was "peaceful" it most certainly was not quiet. Being next to a main road , the cabins nearer the road can be noisy. We were woken at 06:00 this Monday morning by traffic thundering past. By 06:30 we got up. We left. SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS The cabin itself did not have scissors, neither did it have a grater, juice extractor or ice cube molds. All basics I would expect even in a mini kitchen. The microwave was so tiny. I had to fold up my bag of popcorn to fit it in. There was no first aid kit - which I thought was compulsory to get your tourist rental licence? Also no emergency information or exit signs (having owned a VTAR ourselves we again thought this was a requirement) Marketing itself as "Eco" lodges, I did not see anything obviously "eco" or sustainable about the site... not even solar powered path lighting. The cabins themselves were much closer together than I imagined. There was only one pool sun umbrella. In August. As mentioned, we had our own licensed Villa Touristica Alojamiento Rural (VTAR) so always like to give someone the chance to put something right before commenting on it publicly.
