Modern. Close to airport. Convenient to grocery stores.

1. Apartment exists 2. It's freshly renovated, somewhere even unfinished 3. It's not so far from the Chisinau airport 4. There's basically everything you need for a short stay

I tried to tell the entire story, but it exceeds the character limit here, haha. So to keep it short: This one was booked for my 65+ yo PIL who aren't that familiar with technology. I explained it to the host and mentioned that I needed everything to go smoothly for them. The host told me that everything is doable, but instead: 1. The transfer I requested hasn't happened since the host wasn't in the city, so I had to book 4 transfers (during 2 stays), and no one warned me until the last moment. 2. Even though I received a message that payment should be made in cash, the apartment is Airbnb-like: you get a PayPal link, transfer the money, and get check-in instructions. And, as above, no one warned me until my PIL arrived at the address. I wanted to cancel their second stay there, but our mom said that she at least already knows everything there, so I kept it, and it gave me a ton of stress. 3. On the check-in day of the second stay, I transferred money to the host, set my PIL on the plane, and didn't expect any problems until I received a message from the host via Booking that he wouldn't host my PIL because of some plumbing problems. Since he told me to WhatsApp him regarding their first stay, I messaged him there asking what the heck. We just spoke this morning, and I transferred the money, and so on. He said that he wanted to cancel another booking, and our booking is still fine. Sounds fishy, right? So yes, my parents-in-law stayed there twice. The apartment is new and clean, but communication with the host is a disaster, and it's always last-minute when something changes. Can I imagine staying there myself? Well, maybe. I know how to deal with such situations. But what makes me really angry is that if my PIL tried to organise it themselves, they would be screwed since they don't know of PayPal, Booking support, Airbnb-like apartments, and so on. They don't even know how to use taxi apps.
