Distance from the City Centre.

The house was spacious. The communication with the hosts was speedy and efficient. The house was in a decent neighborhood with a supermarket (Co-op) about 5 minutes' walk away. Borehamwood has lots of good shops and restaurants. The hot water didn't run out with showers as we have previously encountered in other properties with many people sharing. There was a coffee machine which worked fine.

When we arrived there were no batteries in the remote control so we had to buy some. There was some litter in the garden and a broken chair which gave a bad first impression. The kids were expecting a ping pong table as advertised, but this was folded and broken and covered in cobwebs. There were no bats or balls. The frame of the swings is not anchored to the ground so these are not usable. The garden would be much improved with some furniture. The host did offer to pay for the batteries and was open to feedback, which was appreciated. There were some lights/lamps without bulbs. A working lamp would be appreciated in each bedroom. There were no side plates and the cutlery was not good quality. The single beds are quite narrow and short which means they weren't comfortable for the taller guests. Overall, we had a good stay and would recommend the property. Just a little TLC to maintain the house would make it excellent.
