You will get as advertised: a private room with a bed in an apartment shared with the host. Having said that: the host was very friendly and helpful, the bed was good, everything was clean, quiet, and you will have all your privacy you need. I slept well. Close to the U-Bahn. Value for money, especially during the event at the Hannover Messe. Nearby supermarket has a bakery (Café Am Niedersachsenring) where you can have a seat while taking your breakfast; cheap and open from 7AM (Sunday closed).
Less suitable if you have issues climbing quite some stairs, but the host offered to assist carrying the luggage. Not in the city centre, but public transport is at walking distance.
