The location of the apartment is almost perfect. There is a five minute walk to the beach and a lot of restaurants and street food from all price ranges around. Big supermarket is across the street. I went to swim almost every morning: I took only a towel with me and walked to the beach. Very nice! Price/quality is good as well. The apartment is located in the middle of a tourist town so the price isn't bad at all. The bus trip to Port Louis takes 55 minutes. And also, the owner was very friendly and helpful. She sent me videos from all the basic information I needed to get to the apartment. Contacting her was easy as well.

I knew what to expect when I booked the room. The apartment is an old(ish) town apartment so don't expect a five star resort when you book this. I liked the place but maybe the shower was little too slow for me. But not a big problem at all. I also got a revenge from cockroaches when I once forgot to take the trashbag out after the day. I also had some dishes on the kitchen table but I learnt immediately that cockroaches will find the apartment. But the owner had left some Baygon to the living room so that was helpful. This was purely my fault but good reminder to myself that I was in a tropical country.
