About this house rental
Built in 1886, the Rectory has been beautifully restored and refurbished to create a wonderful family home which retains enormous character and period charm. The elegant accommodation is arranged over three floors combining well-proportioned reception rooms with comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms over the first and second floors.
The extensive tiered lawns to the rear and beautiful gardens are a great place to relax and for children to play. There is a children’s play area with swings and slide as well as an in-ground trampoline at the bottom of the garden.
The home has room to spread out across three floors. The ground floor has a formal sitting room, a family living room filled with games and toys for all ages, a panelled dining room featuring a Victorian mahogany dining table to seat 12, a kitchen, pantry, laundry and breakfast room as well as a downstairs bathroom.
Upstairs there are 7 bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with en-suite next to a fun children’s room with bunk beds and a single car bed, sure to bring joy to the faces of our littlest guests. Across the landing there is a semi-en-suite nursery bedroom with a king sized bed and a cot (smaller crib available on request). There are a further two bedrooms, on the first floor, one with an en-suite bathroom. There is also a gym room equipped with weights and wall bars.
The top floor consists of a library landing with a window seat with views of the church.
There is a cinema room with a projector and screen along with extra large beanbags to relax and watch movies together.
The top floor has a further two bedrooms and bathrooms and a kitchen area.
The home is a beautiful place to come with family and friends and relax and enjoy making memories together in a space with plenty of areas to come together, but also one that is big enough so everyone can have space to themselves.
The home is located Purleigh, a conservation area recognised as an outstanding area of natural beauty, there is a highly rated traditional pub serving food and drinks right next door and a community run shop at the bottom of the hill for day to day provisions.
