Mayava Villa

The place is beautiful, peaceful, and offers a high level of privacy. It truly felt like a home away from home. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly, respectful, and professional. I will definitely come back again

Nothing. Everything was perfect

The property lives up to its name( Mayava means magical in Sinhala) and we couldn’t fault it. The location is perfect, secluded and peaceful yet walking distance from Ahangama town ( maximum 10 mins walking). The pool is lovely and our room was beautiful with a great shower and a very comfortable bed and all the toiletries one requires. We had the best breakfast we’ve had in Sri Lanka and we’ve stayed in many places as we’ve lived on the island for 7 years. Homemade jam and peanut butter and plenty of fruit and delicious coffee. I also had a fantastic massage in the tranquil yoga shala and the masseuse was great. The manager Supuni was also very professional and delightful. We will definitely return.

We marked it down by one only because we were on our own at the property and if there were other guests there might be less privacy. However if you are taking the whole property as a group it would be perfect.

This has definitely been our most favourite stay throughout our Sri Lanka tip. The most beautiful and relaxing villa. Carol and the staff at Mayava were so accommodating and lovely, we couldn’t thank them enough. The food and drinks were amazing, breakfast was so delicious even adding in some extra items for us. We appreciated everything everyone did for us throughout our stay. The location is perfect, right near everything you need surrounded by amazing cafes and some wonderful recommendations all in walking distance but in the perfect spot to have some lovely peace and quiet. The property was so clean and well looked after, the pool was amazing and the perfect spot to lounge around. They also have two beautiful dogs who we adored, Maya and Melon definitely made our stay that little bit extra special! They have a mini fridge full of cold water and games available to play, which was just another added bonus. We would be certain to stay here again, we are so glad we chose to stay in Ahangama and this was the perfect Villa for it.

Mayava villa is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed, the grounds and villa itself are stunning. The staff absolutely incredible and the meals, so so amazing. You have to stay here !!
