H Ocaranza

¡Me encantó este hotel! Tiene una excelente relación precio-calidad y, sin duda, fue una muy buena elección para nuestro viaje a Chile. La atención del personal fue extraordinaria; siempre estuvieron muy dispuestos a ayudarnos y tuvieron una excelente actitud durante toda nuestra estadía. Algo que me pareció un súper plus, y que no había visto en otros hoteles, es que además de incluir un desayuno buffet —que, dicho sea de paso, es demasiado completo—, también puedes hacer uso del menaje y los utensilios de cocina. Para nosotros fue genial, porque si un día quieres preparar algo sencillo como un sándwich para la cena, puedes hacerlo ahí mismo y ahorrar muchísimo en comida. La ubicación también es espectacular, muy conveniente para moverse y conocer la ciudad. Definitivamente volvería a hospedarme aquí en mi próxima visita a Chile. ¡100% recomendado! 🇨🇱❤️

Lo único que podría mejorar es que el hotel no cuenta con ascensor, así que nos tocó subir y bajar las escaleras hasta el tercer piso. De todas formas, considerando la relación calidad-precio, me pareció totalmente comprensible, ¡y la vista lo valía! Nos quedamos en una de las habitaciones con mejores vistas, directamente hacia la cordillera 🏔️. Lo que sí sería genial mejorar es el aislamiento acústico de las ventanas, ya que no son antirruido. Mi esposo no tuvo ningún problema, pero yo sí tuve que usar tapones para poder dormir. Sería genial que en una próxima renovación pudieran considerar este detalle, porque con eso el hotel estaría ¡demasiado! ❤️

I spent three nights in a Superior Double Room. The hotel has very good Wi-Fi, and the TV with Netflix and other streaming options was a nice bonus. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and available at all times, especially with the 24-hour reception. The breakfast buffet was large and offered plenty of choice. I also enjoyed using the gym. The location in Bellavista is convenient as a base for exploring Santiago and is particularly practical for early pick-ups, as it is directly on a main road. The bed was also very comfortable.

Unfortunately, my experience in room 301 was only good rather than very good. The room was advertised as a Superior Double Room, but it faces a very busy main road/highway. The windows provide very little sound insulation, so traffic noise was clearly audible throughout the night. Luckily, I had earplugs with me. The windows also did not insulate well against the cold, and I woke up during my first two nights because the room was very cold, even with the additional blanket. The staff kindly turned on the heating when I asked. The room also did not block out the outside light well, so light from the hotel main hall was visible around the door at night. I also had some issues with the shower: sometimes no water came out when turning the tap towards the hot setting, and I had to wait for it to start. Once the water was running, however, I had no problems with the temperature. Despite these issues, I would stay at H Ocaranza again. I would simply recommend choosing a room away from the main road, especially if travelling during the colder months. The extremely friendly staff and 24-hour reception made the overall stay pleasant and convenient, particularly for my early ski trips and early check-out.

After three nights, I changed to a Standard Double Room, which I personally found much better than the Superior Double. The room was quieter, warmer and felt better insulated, apart from the door. The staff were consistently friendly and very helpful. I especially appreciated that they prepared breakfast to take away for me and even wrote personal notes on it, which was a lovely touch. The hotel always smelled fresh and pleasant. I also used the small gym, which is basic but has enough weights for a simple workout. Wi-Fi was good and reliable.

The room itself was comfortable but rather sparsely furnished. A kettle would be a great addition, especially in winter for making tea. Sound insulation could also be improved: at night, you can see light coming in from outside around the door and hear quite clearly what is happening in the corridor and on the stairs. The bathroom was rather cool due to the window, and the shower curtain was inconvenient while showering. The water also took a while to get properly warm. Nevertheless, I had a pleasant stay in the Standard Double Room as a solo traveller.
