Windsor Tower Sri Hartamas by Plush

Good area with Sri Hartamas shopping centre and many local shops and restaurants as you exit Windsor Tower at level 5 parking. Excellent grocery shop on the ground floor of Hartamas mall. The best brand in Kuala Lumpur, my opinion. Nice views from balcony and quite spacious. Good fridge, small induction cooking unit, water heater and washing machine. They all seem new. Tops! A large (20m x 20m) clean pool and three separate and spacious, partly heated, outdoor jacuzzis. A reasonable fitness area. Squash too and other general areas to enjoy, with the usual flora that makes it look inviting. Overall a very relaxing place to spend outdoors. Good bed, yet an uncomfortable and very solid pillow. But that is always a subjective issue. Good sofa. The host agent was extremely helpful, reachable at all times and quick to respond. They did well to provide the basic amenities, but the cleaning needs proper attention.

No rail/MRT links nearby. You will rely on Grab and taxi to go anywhere apart from Hartamas Shopping centre, but this is easy to come by. A deposit of MYR 300 needs to be provided. You wonder what for? The apartment is very disappointing and, aside from the multiple flies and occasional cockroaches, is unacceptable in its current state. The kitchen in a dilapidated state. Cupboard doors do not close properly, metal handles are sticky and rusty. Vinyl plastering hanging loose. Bathroom tiles are so dirty that you cannot get the stains off. Hairs everywhere. Cutlery, table wear and cooking wear is filthy, permanently stained, worn-out and smells. I bought my own cutlery, cups and plates. That is a first for me and frankly, that is how bad it actually is.  These are all items that should have been ditched and replaced a long time ago, but apparently deemed suitable for the rental market by the owner. This is outright offensive, especially considering that, even at discounted rates, there are newer, better, cleaner and, most importantly, properly furnished places to rent. It is a pity that I cannot upload pictures during the writing of my review, or do not know how to, but I am happy to share photo's on the booking website if requested. A picture makes more sense than words. Suggest to the owner, to consider a complete makeover of the kitchen, the bathroom, and part re-furnish the Suite to be able to command the rates commensurate with good scoring properties. It is such a pity, because the location is very good, the host agent is responsive, and the overall score would be up with the best.
