TemplarDreams - Old Centre

It was a beautifully well-decorated apartment just a block or so from the main square.

It was advertised as free public parking nearby. We found a place to park in front of the apartment. So we parked there. We didn't see any signs indicating we couldn't park there for an extended time. The long and short of this is that we received a parking ticket. We reached out to the host for assistance/guidance and did not receive a response. We had no idea who to turn to or what to do. After several phone calls (thanks to Google), we were able to reach the proper authorities, who advised that we continue on our journey and turn it over to Hertz. They would pay the ticket and then bill us. It would have been less stressful and helpful if the host had just responded, maybe by giving us a phone number to call; even an address of the police station would have been helpful.

Located centrally in Tomar this was a really good size 2 bed apartment with everything needed for a stay. There was also a nice size outdoor area in the first floor apartment. When you arrive you phone the host who gives you instructions to gain access which was really easy to do. Once settled he gives you instructions to park at the nearby car park - 6 euros for 24 hours. A number of restaurants within easy walking distance. The walk to the Convento do Christ is steep but worth it.

Location of the property

Great apartment so close to central square and easy walking to everything. Great variety of restaurants close by as well as grocery shops. Apartment was cleans, comfortable and had instructions and procedures manual. A great help. Hosts were fabulous and friendly with great communication.
