Seednest Barossa Family Retreat

Location was fantastic - we had a car and it was a short drive to Tandunda & Nooriupta. There is a bike trail close by for a walk, ride or run. Hosts were very accommodating and gave clear instructions. Enjoyed using the hot tub for a relaxing evening.

The house was great for our stay! We had two kids with us, there was a basket of toys which was great. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit very much.

A couple of pots/pans didn't work on the induction cook top as they didn't have a steel bottom so the cooktop didn't recognise them.

Seednest Barossa Family Retreat is a hidden gem in a very quiet neighbourhood, all you can hear are the birds. The house is very private with a great outdoor area very spacious, a big spa and an 8seater outdoor table, the fire pit is a lovely area to just chill. The clothes line is under cover great if the rain comes in you don’t have to rush home. The one bedroom apartment at the back of the house is its own little slice of heaven with all of the mod cons very tastefully decorated and very private. The main house has 4bedrooms. The main bedroom is at the front of the house with the dining room on the other side of the hallway, there is a door in the hall to close of this part of the house from the rest of the house, great for privacy. The main bedroom has a king bed so comfy a walk in robe and an on suite the shower is fantastic. The kitchen and sitting area is great with a log burner very cosy. The kitchen has everything you need for a great stay the coffee percolator and plunger are a must, with the coffee and bags supplied, condiments in the pantry and other bits and pieces to make a meal, tick. There are two queen and a single bedroom off another hallway very comfy beds. The bathroom has a separate toilet and a separate shower and bath and vanity. The laundry has a front loader and dryer and spacious enough for the ironing board. There is a door to cut off these parts of the house to the kitchen and sitting room more privacy. The internet is easy to connect to and fast. Seednest is a little older but everything in the house works beautifully for a very comfortable stay. There were five of us and a baby and we stayed for 5days very comfortably. Barossa distillery company, Ember pizza and fine wines and the steinhouse are an easy walk along the main road. The park at the road about is beautiful. There is so much to see in this area we will definitely be back for another stay at Seednest Barossa family retreat.

Great location walking distance to the pizza shop, lots of space for a large group, unit out the back is lovely, some nice thoughtful touches made like bathroom stocked with makeup pads, piksters and some pantry staples available for use. Customer service was very responsive re any issues

I think it was cleaned quite a bit before we arrived as there were lots of little dead beetles all over the floor throughout the house and the grass was quite long needing a mow, spa was off when we arrived so it took a good 24 hours to heat up and the spa was quite dirty with bugs and ‘goop’ around the edges (possibly as it was off for an extended period, I’m not sure but we didn’t want to get in it for that reason), gas bottle ran out mid bbq so had to take everything in to cook in kitchen (thankfully a well equipped kitchen though!!) and no plug for bath tub which was a shame but they were very responsive about the issue
