Phoenix house ahangama

Phoenix House is a home away from home. It is close enough to the town but still quiet in a beautiful location with a gorgeous view of the sea. The hosts are beautiful people that take care more than just a accommodation. Delicious food, conscious events and a cozy atmosphere. If you want more than just a place to stay but somewhere to feel welcome, safe and taken care of - this is the place to go :)

Absolutely beautiful luxurious house nestled perfectly between the jungle and the sea 😍 Gorgeous views of lush greenery & the beach, you can hear the waves from the ocean while watching sunset from this amazing rooftop! Rooms are exceptionally clean & comfortable, with fantastic hot showers, good water pressure and thick, fluffy towels (which is not always the case in Sri Lanka!) The family running this house are genuinely lovely people too, with high standards & attention to detail- the whole house is well decorated with a really cool unique vibe, and the food is good! Nicest place I've stayed in Sri Lanka! I ended up extending my stay of course 😅

Has a very homely, comfy vibe to it. Easy to go to from the main road. Very clean and the coffee and breakfast they had was something to die for. The team who assisted me there were very friendly and were available to take care of whatever we needed. The family who runs the property (Hita & Ali) were lovely people. Had their company many times during my stay and it felt like hanging out with friends more than anything. Overall, my stay there was an extremely positive experience. I would definitely go back there whenever I’m near Ahangama.

Nothing significant but if I have to really nitpick something…the location of this property is a bit away from the Ahangama centre. Not too far but about a 10/15 min drive.

-Accueil sympathique et personnel agréable. -Certaines chambres que nous avons aperçues semblaient très qualitatives (peut-être une question de catégorie).

-Chambre très chaude exposée plein soleil (plus de 30 °C). Climatisation et ventilateur de plafond présents mais très bruyants. -Pas de rideau sur toutes les fenêtres : le soleil tape directement dans la chambre dès le lever du jour. -Petit-déjeuner très simple (omelette, pain de mie et café), loin de ce qu’on a habituellement. -Hôtel situé à environ 3 km du centre-ville, ce qui nécessite de prendre un tuk-tuk pour s’y rendre.
