Located between Mudhouse Coffee and Rockfish Brewing Company, The Townsman sits directly above Charlottesville's vibrant Downtown Mall, surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment. With no front desk or traditional check-in process, guests receive a personal access code before arrival and can simply arrive and settle in with ease.

It was a delightful stay! Being located on the downtown mall was such a treat. We visited a couple of wineries and it was enjoyable to get away for the weekend and truly relax. Thanks for the great atmosphere!

The room was new and modern, with great amenities. It was frustrating not having regular cable channels, just streaming. The navigation and check-in information sent before check-in was very confusing. The road to the bag drop location was closed for construction, so navigation to the hotel was even more complex. Eliminate the photos and maps in the instructions; just give GPS addresses for the parking, drop off, and hotel. Finally, the check-out requirements were very unfriendly, and to threaten a charge of 35 if we didn't obey was outlandish!
