About this cabin rental
Welcome to Bisonhead Cabin, a cozy Island Park cabin surrounded by pines and full of rustic charm! Sleeps 13 across a main cabin and detached bunkhouse with arcade games, foosball, and TV. Enjoy the private hot tub, outdoor firepit, wood-burning stove, and Ooni pizza oven. With pine ceilings, a bison head mantle, and a kids’ play loft, it’s the perfect year-round retreat just 40 minutes from Yellowstone’s West Entrance!
Step inside to warm wood finishes, a grand vaulted ceiling, and all the charm of a classic log cabin—blended with modern comforts!
Main Cabin:
Bedroom 1 – King bed + 2 Twin Beds & ensuite bathroom
Bedroom 2 – King bed
Loft – Queen bed + children’s play corner
Detached Bunkhouse:
3 twin beds + futon (sleeps 5)
Foosball table, arcade games & TV—a perfect hangout for kids or teens!
Interior Features:
- Cozy wood-burning stove with a mounted bison head centerpiece
- Laundry, full kitchen, and open living space
- Arcades, foosball, children`s books & games
Outdoor features:
Private hot tub under the stars
Wood-burning fire pit with seating

Relax in the private hot tub, grill out on the deck, or cozy up for a movie night after a day of exploring. The Island Park Reservoir is nearby for fishing, boating, and swimming, and there are hundreds of miles of snowmobile and ATV trails near the cabin.
Guests have access to the entire property, including the main cabin, detached bunkhouse, hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor spaces.
The two closest major airports are Bozeman, MT and Idaho Falls, Idaho. There is also a small West Yellowstone Airport.
*Roads are plowed but we recommend and AWD or 4WD vehicle during Fall, Winter and Spring months.
Please note: The cabin does not have central air conditioning. The fresh mountain air and cool evening breezes keep the space comfortable throughout the summer months.

We had an amazing stay here! The property location was so quiet and peaceful; with the perfect amount of privacy. Also within close proximity to many fun activities and excursions. The home was cozy, comfortable and included everything we could ever need to enjoy our time together. The hot tub and game room were great bonus features!

The cabin was a fantastic place for our Yellowstone trip. Lots of open space to hang out and lots of fun things to do. Our toddler loved the swing and all the toys available. There was plenty of activities to do. The teens loved the games in the bunk bed room. The hot tub was in great condition and clean. The host was always available to answer questions in a timely manner. Easy to navigate to. Would stay again.

We adored this magical cabin. It had everything we needed, plus more. Communication with the host was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed not only the cabin, but the location. When we were snowed in we played board games, hung out in the hot tub and watched movies. Other days it was a short trip to Yellowstone!! We plan on coming back to this cabin. Wish I could give it 5 stars! Thanks so much for hosting us, we were so sad to leave, but we will be back! Thanks for everything! Major plus.... The neighbors are so nice and helpful!!
