Schertz Country Farmhouse on 1 acre with Gameroom

Overall good

We had a great time. Just disappointed we didn’t get there earlier to enjoy the place more, but that was only because we were celebrating our daughter’s graduation somewhere else. My grandbabies loved the game room…and I’m not going to lie…I LOVED playing PAC-Man. The home was really nice and plenty of room. Nicely decorated, updated appliances and very comfortable. More than one night would be best to enjoy everything and we would love to go back at another time.

Amazing property.

Overall, I’d give this property 3 out of 5 stars. The home itself is spacious, and the large, comfortable couch made it easy for our family to gather. We also appreciated having a gated property, which made us feel more secure during our stay.Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments that impacted our experience. The home was not as clean as we expected upon arrival. The biggest issue, however, was the game room. We specifically chose this property to celebrate our son’s 16th birthday because of the advertised game room and outdoor amenities. When we arrived, the air conditioning had not been turned on in the game room, and despite our stay, the room never reached a comfortable temperature because of the extreme heat. I had let the homeowner know we would be arriving around 4:00 p.m., so I was disappointed that the room hadn’t been cooled in advance. Had I known the game room would be too hot to comfortably use, I likely would have chosen a different property. The volleyball court was another feature that attracted us, but the net was very low and appeared to be worn out, so it wasn’t quite as advertised. The home is listed as sleeping up to 12 guests, but the barbecue grill is very small and not really practical for cooking for a group that size. We also noticed the thermostat automatically reset to an eco setting of 78F, making the house feel warmer than we’d have liked. The house served its purpose for our stay, but I would not stay here again.
