About this apartment rental

Newly remodeled, large two bedroom with two full baths condominium off the sixth green of the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club. The condominium has nearly 2,000 square feet plus a garage (unattached). The condominium is upgraded and tastefully furnished and has a gas fireplace in the living room, a full kitchen and patio. Sleeps up to six. Keywords: Wonderful vacation home with nearly 2,000 square feet. Near beautiful pool and spa. No pets. First $350 per month in utilities paid by owner. Avalable for monthly rentals or the upcoming 2025 - 2026 Seaon.

This condo is in a lovely location in the Mission Hills Development with a great view of the Dinah Shore Tournament golf course. It is just off the 6th green. The development itself is well kept with very good security and maintenance. This is a terrific location for someone interested in attending the LPGA Golf Tournament. The condo itself is large with 2 good size bedrooms, kitchen, dining area, and large living room with a vaulted ceiling that lets in lots of light from the many windows. The condo had all the basic necessities to meet our needs. Living room furniture was comfortable. Appliances worked well with a new fridge a recent addition. The only exception was the custom stove which had 3 out of the 4 elements working. This was not an issue as we had been advised by the owner prior to our renting. Internet/Cable works well. TVs and other electronics are very good. Both bedrooms are large and have good comfortable beds. Bedding provided was very good. The bathrooms are functional. The shower and bathtub faucets are worn and show their age. The dining room table chairs are low and uncomfortable. The owner indicated that the chairs will be replaced for next year. The unit has a new propane barbecue that although basic in function, worked very well. We had no issues with propane as the tank was full when we arrived. Fortunately for us the pool closest to the condo was heated during our stay. The pool is maintained twice a week. During our stay the pool area was very quiet and not busy. Our dealings with the owner were positive. Responses from the owner were very timely, always within one day and very often much sooner. Shortcomings of the unit were communicated and identified prior to our renting. As part of our agreement the owner committed to making a number of improvements and changes. These were identified as conditions in the lease and were completed prior to our arrival. During our stay we required a replacement steam iron which was quickly approved for replacement on the same day. We found the owner to be attentive and reasonable in the one or two situations that required attention. Over the course of our rental the owner met with us at the condo on a couple of occasions to ensure that our needs were being met and to ensure that we were being good tenants. This was not an issue. Our plan is to rent this unit again next year.

This town home is as it looks in the photos, better even, in the daylight as the photos look a bit gloomy. We were quite comfortable, beds were good, lots of space, just a few steps to the pool. That said there were a few deficiencies. The pool was unheated during our stay and even though it is cleaned twice a week, quickly fills with leaves from nearby trees and other deposits from a couple of amorous ducks. Mission Hills pools are heated 50 percent of the season so odd numbered pools are heated in the spring and even ones in the fall to January. (All pools heated over Christmas.) So you can find a warmer pool with a walk. Just not as convenient. The changing area in the master bath was very nice with two separate sink areas and great natural light from skylights. The bath/shower is in need of a reno however and the finish is gone on the other bathroom's sink. There is a wine cooler in the dining area which was nice but the wicker chairs around the dining table are a bit low for eating comfortably. The fridge was cleaned out when we got there which I guess is safe policy but you have to start over there. The pantry had olive oil and spices so that was a bonus. I suppose the biggest difference was, compared to other VRBO rentals we have done is that there wasn't a lot of communication between the owner and us. Not much helpful info or even the fact that the gatehouse which knew we were coming would be shut down at 10:00 pm. Our flight was much delayed ane we made it with 8 minutes to spare. Also was disappointed to find out that the tennis courts etc were for members only. Something we didn't find out until long after the deposit was paid. My fault for not asking. Most of my questions were answered eventually but got more satisfaction from the housekeeper who was very nice. In summary it was an enjoyable stay and I would do it again. Maybe some of this information will help the next renters. Thought it was reasonably priced for what you got. Miss the morning walks where we'd collect fallen grapefruit and oranges for our breakfast.
