River & Forest Escape, Private Garden Room near Ljubljana

Romana, a lovely and caring host, has put so much thought and detail into this space, perfect for one person. She really cares about the comfort of her guests. It's a modern, clean, bright purpose designed space. There's even a washing machine in the good sized bathroom and plenty of outside space for drying clothes, very convenient when on the road. I particularly enjoyed sitting out on the patio and hearing nothing but the river a couple of hundred metres away across the fields, the main road is far away so no traffic noise. There are, as advertised, good river and forest walks right on the doorstep, one of them leading to a small lake just 3 or 4 kilometres away where one can swim and rest with a drink at the cafe. There are restaurants within walking distance and Kranj, with small city conveniences is just a 15 minute drive away. I really appreciated the peace and general calmness of the accommodation and its setting so can happily recommend Romana's cosy place.

Prekrasen ambijent, mir v naravi. Bližina reke, gozda. Ponoči se sliši prijeten zvok vode. Zrak je svež. Izjemna pozornost in gostoljubnost gospe Romane. Soba ima polico zelo dobrih knjig, rožice so "prave", vse zelo čisto. Kopalnica je opremljena z vsemi pripomočki in celo pralnim strojem. Na vsakem koraku je nekaj, kar spominja na to, da si dobrodošel. Izhod iz sobe ima lastno teraso s spalno vrečo na drevesu, sedežno in mizico. Vse s pogledom na gozd. Izjemno😃. Zagotovo še pridem. Wunderschöne Unterkunft direkt am Fluss! Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft und perfekt, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Alles war sehr sauber, gemütlich und liebevoll gestaltet. Die Besitzerin war unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Der gesamte Aufenthalt war total unkompliziert und angenehm. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolut empfehlenswert – einfach mega!

My stay at Nature’s Sanctuary was exactly what I needed. Romana is a truly attentive and kind host, and the room felt like a safe haven. Nature is literally a stone’s throw away — with a river and forest nearby that instantly help you breathe deeper and calm down. The wellness center at Brdo is also very close, which was a big plus. The room had everything I needed and was spotless. I especially appreciated the washing machine (so helpful for a longer stay) and the excellent shower — perfect after long walks. Romana even prepared a few meals for me and offered Slovenian sweets, which was such a thoughtful touch. There are also nice restaurants in the area, so it’s easy to settle in and feel taken care of. The bed was very comfortable, with an extra pillow and blanket available, plus plenty of towels and amenities. Overall, a peaceful, comfortable stay surrounded by natural beauty. I will definitely book again the next time I’m in Slovenia — highly recommended.
