Bridle Cottage

Everything the bed, the kitchen, the whole place has such a cosy feel and a very quiet at night. Was easy to get to on bus from derby and a 15 min walk from bus stop.

Only thing was I wanted to put fire maybe instructions on how to get it going on and off on but wasn't sure how to do it so didn't oh well.

The property had such character, with lots of original features, mixed with a few modern touches. From arriving at the back door and into the kitchen, it was like stepping back in time, with low beams and doorways throughout, which added to the ambiance of the cottage. It was like home from home, with everything that you would need for day to day living. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated.

Beautiful cottage to stay in. Interior very tastefully decorated and a very high standard of fittings. The area was very quiet and Milly our Norfolk terrier loved the walk down the canal side.

My sat nav tried to send me the quickest route, which it thought was sending me down the rather rough bridle path instead of from the other end of Bridle Lane where the George pub is, and we had about ten minutes trying to work out which no20 was, lack of preparation on my part I guess. The entrance to no20 is a bit tight if you are driving a large vehicle, I have a Tiguan which was ok, but my other half said she would have struggled with the turn in off the lane. No fault of the owner of the cottage I must point out.
