Palazzo di città Bari

Very nicely furnished white stone walls and vaulted ceiling. Pleasant location, near to where we caught our day tour, convenient to the train station and ferry terminal.

Took a while to figure out the air conditioning, but the host was very accommodating, helping out by phone despite our late arrival.

Apartament pięknie położony w samym sercu starego miasta. Wygodny, przestronny, czysty. To miejsce z duszą. Zaopatrzony z ręczniki, zestaw do parzenia kawy, mały ekspres, kosmetyki. Bardzo komunikatywny gospodarz, odpowiada szybko, reaguje w razie konieczności.

extraordinary location and very communicative host. beautiful house, perfect for couples not for groups of 5 persons. easy code access so you do not have to take care of any key. One can see that the palazzo was renovated - probably many years ago - with good care and taste, quality work was done, but it needs urgent update for the heating units and the black sofa! and also needs little repairs. the property has a sophisticated luxurious air, but would also need a deep cleaning.

the only bed is for two, in the sleeping room, and in the dining there are only sofas. the one person black sofa cannot be used to sleep on because it has a gap in the middle (see pictures included) and is very low so it is very cold in its area. The living room is not separated with a door from the entry hall and from the hall the cold air is coming into the living, where the only one modest heating convector cannot go more than 21C. it was very cold especially the first night when we arrived. Maybe is ok in summer, but not in April. We were suggested to use another bed, a camp bed but when we try we discovered a rusty bed and mattres was stained and looked not appealing to sleep on it. So we used the big sofa in the living room to sleep all 3 of us. On the other hand, in the sleeping room there are 2 heating convectors and the temperature was ok. Watch out the door between living room and sleeping room is falling and moving - it hurt one of us (we were 5). Marco, the owner, should try to sleep one night on the black couch if possible and then maybe he will replace it. More than that, one of the sinks in the bathroom is leaking and cannot be used. we suddenly found ourselves feet in the water and we did not know what happened. The tub is ok, needs a deep cleaning, but cannot be used by tall persons. Impossible to take a shower there. Before leaving the owner asked us to leave 30 euros on the table for the city tax. we told him that the city tax was payed when we booked the palazzo and then he excused himself telling us that he believed we used airbnb. We could not locate him on airbnb, though. We did not meet the owner, nor see him or a picture of him on whatsapp, so we cannot tell who is the host. It is impossible to sleep late as right in front of the house there is a restaurant and at around 9 they get out the tables which makes a disturbing noise that can be heard very clearly, unfortunately. people are very loud when communicating in the street, so too noisy.
