Strait of Malacca Perfect View, in the Heart of the Melaka city, Mahkota Costa

This was quite a nice decent size apartment but it was a little tired inside and could’ve done with a little freshen up in decor and furnishings. We had a comfortable stay. Checking in and checking out went very well, no problems. Don’t really see anybody face to face but good communication. It’s walking distance into the old town. I don’t think you need to stay in Melaka more than a couple of nights, as I don’t think there’s huge amounts to do that can’t be done in two days. Swimming pool was great, and we utilised that a couple of times. See pics for a great restaurant choice .It was quite quiet, not many other people around. But generally good value.

Sadly, it’s by quite a big busy road, so whilst the noise didn’t bother us at all as we were at the back, it is a bit of a game to get across the road to get to the old town. This can’t be changed. It is what it is…

Location was enjoyable especially if you like to walk! Shower pressure nice along w water dispenser. Pretty much as represented by pictures. Mall directly across the street. Host’s communication was excellent.

Could be a lot cleaner, one of the 2 a/c units was malfunctioning but was manageable with one a/c and some lights needed light bulbs. I’m sure these items will be taken care of for next guest.

Der vorherige Kontakt für den self-check in/out war super, es hat alles gut geklappt. Die Lage und der Blick ins Grüne bzw. aufs Meer ist toll. Gegenüber ist eine Mall, in der man alles Erdenkliche bekommt.

Die Sauberkeit ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig; Haare auf dem Nachttisch, benutzte Ohrenstäbchen auf dem Balkon, nicht einmal ausgefegte Räume und Zeug vom Abwasch stand in der Spüle. Es ist tatsächlich ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt. Die Matratzen vom Bett knirschen bei jeder Bewegung. Eine Küchenausstattung ist so gut wie nicht vorhanden; Wasserkocher und Mikrowelle, je 2 Teller &Tassen + Besteck, was wir alles nicht benutzt haben, weil es sehr unansehnlich war. Leider war der Pool geschlossen, was man uns nicht mitgeteilt hatte. Auf dem Balkon gibt es keine Stühle & Tisch, nur einen Hocker. Leider nicht einladend. Außer Security am Eingang haben wir kein Personal gesehen. Den Fotos sollte man nicht zu viel Beachtung schenken... Wir haben uns nicht wohlgefühlt und würden auch nicht wieder buchen.
