Beautiful spot, extra comfy, lovely host.

We had a wonderful time at Nikau Nook. Mark the host is extra friendly and helpful and gave us tips on safe spots to swim with kids. The place has everything you need - very homely and comfortable, including super-comfy beds and plenty of space. The extra mattress was appreciated as my 2 kids didn't want to share a room / bed, so this option made things more comfortable for the family! My 10 year old loved the chickens which made it extra special for her as a city kid. Mark was also extra kind and understanding when my kid accidentally damaged something (which we fixed up of course!). We would love to come back again to stay at Nikau Nook.

A Peaceful Stay with Everything You Need

We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend in Raglan. The accommodation was in a perfect spot—close to town but still peaceful. It had everything we needed, with great facilities like the outdoor area, projector, and double kayak, which we made the most of. The host was super lovely and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

A dream home away from home

Nikau Nook is like a dream home away from home. The interior is cosy and homely, the shower is great, and there is a projector that we plugged our laptop into to watch a film at night too. All the cooking equipment you could need is available (plus some herbs!), and having a barbecue to use was an added bonus! We really enjoyed spending time in the sunny garden eating on the picnic bench, playing with the wooden skittles set and petanque, seeing all the vegetables growing in the planters, and peeking over to say hello to the chickens! Having a clothes line was very useful for hanging our wet stuff up after surfing too. Location was great too, walking distance to the town centre and a very short walk to the waterfront. We would be back in a heartbeat.

Nice size for upto two couples. Easy flow to the flat outdoor area which has been kept well and has a petanque court and lovely grass space and seating areas to enjoy. The amount of spice options in this home is awesome!! I cooked a fantastic meal with the masala and the other pre-made paste in the fridge!!

No air conditioner (if you don't mind the odd mosquito there is nice air flow with the doors open). Take a fan or two perhaps. No t.v. (not that I had time for one in this case) however the is a huge pull down screen and projector i assume you can tap into which would be epic. No body wash in the shower (although my booking was.last minute so they may not have had time to check to supply) Also the owner (is a good fella) has placed a small batch on the property (approx 10 meters from the main entry to the batch) and sleeps in there while your there while his home is being used. Now for me, in this instance was not an issue however it is not my normal go to when traveling with the family....
