Earthbound Residence- Kandy

Sagara, the owner, met us at the airport and drove us to his delightful guesthouse in the hills of Kandy overlooking the city. He even bought us a meal on the way. He not only runs his charming guest house but also has a sustainable craft business employing over 800 local women. We wish we'd had more time to do one of his excellent tours. The guest house is immaculate with lovely, spacious rooms. We had a balcony looking down at the city. The restaurant also has a terrace with amazing views. The staff were superb,so attentive and polite. It was incredible value. Highly recommend

Stayed one night and it was nothing short of excellent. The property has a nice vibe, location is close to the city. I had a late check in but the staff was nice to stay till I arrive and made sure the check in was smooth. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. I had to attend a meeting the next morning and since there was no taxi available, the property arranged one of their cars and did not evn charge which was very kind of them. This will be my go to place in Kandy when I visit again. I booked on room only so did not try their food.

They were so kind and helpful, even lending me some of their beautiful decorations and furniture to make my shoot extra special. Their generosity and friendliness made me feel truly welcomed. The rooftop area is stunning, offering a peaceful view over Kandy and the surrounding hills — perfect for relaxing or taking in the sunset. The ambiance is calm and serene, and it really adds to the charm of the place. The food was another highlight of my stay — fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and tasted fantastic. Overall, Earthbound Residencies is a gem for anyone visiting Kandy — whether you're a traveler, a creative soul, or simply someone looking for a peaceful retreat with warm-hearted hospitality.
