Not great value for money

Location

Felt like it needs a bit of an upgrade No heating put on for a cold morning Had to make deal with one towel between two of us Guy working downstairs was doing everything unfortunately for him

Nice staff, good food but disappointing Room

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was good.

The room was quite small, it looked like it would benefit from a deep clean. There was damp on the bathroom walls, no drain cover in the shower, marks on the walls and some of the silicone in the shower was black. The bed was uncomfortable with what felt like a bar across the middle under the mattress. In general it looked run down. Noise from bar early hours of the morning was very loud so resulted in little sleep.

Location for us was key being close to family but I wouldn’t stay here again unless it was completely refurbished

I’m really sorry to say there was not much to like about the property apart from the food was good value for money.

The property is so tired desperately needs a complete refurbishment.

Convenient and pleasant. Thank you!

A very convenient stop-over for my partner and I, along with our dog. Not too far away from the Metro station, and easy check-in and access at the bar. Despite being close to a busy roundabout, we had no noise issues at all, and enjoyed some nice dog walks around the area. Food and drinks at the pub were much appreciated too!

Friendly, great value for money but the noisr

Everything about the stay was great - except the noise. Lot of noise from pub long after closing time. And a door that banged throughout the night. Slamming door, which shook room repeatedly was big issue.

We didn't mind noise from the pub on a bank holiday weekend. But loud door - last slam I heard was 1.10am. Woke up to another slam at 7.08

Not a very comfortable stay, would not recommend it.

On my arrival I booked for 4 breakfasts, the time published for breakfast was 9 am but the lady of the house asked if I minded 9.30 for the first day, I agreed, however on the first day there was no one around at 9.45 am, the breakfast room was locked up and there was no staff around to ask why. So that afternoon I cancelled the booking for breakfast.

The room was clean but there was electrical extension leads next to the bed. A kettle and milk etc was provided but, the handwash basin in the bathroom was so small it was impossible to fill the kettle, the only was was to fill it using a cup. Reference the handwash basin, on my arrival I found that there was no plug so the lady of the house had to search for a replacement.

I would drink in the bar again, I would not stay in the rooms up stairs again.

Bar area was good with good selection of drinks, staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was good value and tasty.

Rooms upstairs are in poor all round condition. It looks dated and needs a deep clean.
