Casa dos Calas

Before booking, we read several reviews mentioning mosquitoes, and honestly, we don't really understand why this was such a common complaint. Mallorca is a Mediterranean island, so mosquitoes are to be expected during the summer, and we didn't experience any more than we have in other Mediterranean countries. We brought a couple of citronella candles to use when sitting on the terrace in the evenings, used indoor mosquito plug-ins, and simply kept the doors closed when needed. Those simple precautions worked perfectly, so I wouldn't let the previous reviews put you off. We had a lovely stay at Stephanie's place with our 4-year-old son. The apartment was clean on arrival, and we received a warm welcome from Frank, who was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, within walking distance of two beautiful beaches, with restaurants and shops nearby. It was also a great base for exploring the rest of the island by car. We do agree with some comments about the garden. It looked a little neglected, with dry grass, and it would have been even nicer with more greenery and plants. However, this didn't have much impact on our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and would happily recommend Stephanie's place to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located base in Mallorca.

There wasn't really anything we didn't like. A dishwasher would have been a nice addition, but we were aware there wasn't one before we arrived.

Bra att vara förberedd på är att myggen trivs väldigt bra runt huset. Det gjorde att vi inte riktigt kunde nyttja uteplatsen så mycket som vi hade önskat.
