Apartamento luxuoso na Barra Vista Mar

Hospedagem maravilhosa. A proprietária muito atenciosa, sempre disposta e ainda nos deu diversas dicas para aproveitar os passeios. Ambiente calmo, tranquilo, Piscina ampla com vista mar. Apartamento muito limpo. Tudo muito agradável.

Outstanding location across from beach with a "million dollar view" of the ocean and little bit of the bay. Although only via What's App, the owner was responsive and very much wanted to help us, using a translation app, as it's very challenging to find English speakers in Salvador and really in most of Brazil. Our expectations from the last apartment we rented (in France) and others via Booking were higher than what we received, but overall we were comfortable and loved the view. The store in the basement was very convenient for essentials, although priced quite a bit higher than the supermarket. The iron and ironing board were very nice to have.

Unlike all other apartments we have rented around the world, this one was barren of even left over salt, pepper or cooking oil. So in order to use the kitchen, we needed to restock it, as except for the pots, pans and utensils, everything else which normally others might leave behind like coffee filters or salt and pepper (as we did) were picked clean, perhaps by the cleaning crew. The closest real market is about a 15 minute walk away, FYI. Note: The A/C unit is only in the bedroom, and the rest of the apartment does not have A/C, just a fan. The washing machine was covered up and we didn't try it as we didn't want to purchase detergent for just one use, plus we didn't note a drying rack anywhere. For those who drink tea, note there is no tea kettle or way to boll water except a cooking pot.

I had a lovely time at this property. The views were great. the apartment itself was a good size for one to two people. There was a full kitchen so you could cook and reheat food. The location of the apartment is in a very central part of the city with access to local restaurants and bars and beaches. There is a gym on the rooftop of the apartment building that has several machines and free weights. For travelers, there is also an in unit washing machine available (have to dry clothes on a rack they provide). There is also a rooftop pool that has good views. Overall, I would definitely stay here next time I’m in Salvador.

For an Airbnb, I did expect to have some shampoo and conditioner available. It was easy enough to get these by going to the pharmacy downstairs and ultimately you may have a different preference for showering than what they would offer regardless. They did include several small bars of soap for you to use. There is a washing machine for clothes, but I had to buy the soap separately.
