Le Petit Palais - 50m Plage - Vue mer et campagne

Location was very good, very close to the beach. Beds and sofas were comfortable. Equipment level was very good Very light and spacious and lots of windows for fresh air which was very nice as the week we visited it was 33 centigrade!

The front door is an issue in our opinion Very tricky to unlock , seemed like you had to fully lock then undo the alternate between locked and unlocked to open Worry when coming back late at night as never confident it is going to open There is a sweet spot to open obviously but very hard to find One thing that is lacking from the kitchen is an extractor as cooking smells fill the apartment and maybe for this reason the smoke detector was covered over Obviously not good for health and safety reasons. The cleaning of the place was a little lacking when we arrived as found hairs in the sink in toilet and bathroom and toilet was a bit dirty

La proximité des plages et Deauville.

Locatie was super, fijn dat we een parkeerplek in de garage hadden. Mooi appartement, leuk ingericht.

Je kan zien dat het al een paar jaar geen aandacht krijgt die het verdiend. Alles is ooit heel mooi opgeknapt en ingericht maar nooit goed bij gehouden door de eigenaar. Zo is de wc bril los, deurtjes in de keuken komen los en de ventilatie op de badkamer werkt niet goed meer. Kleine dingen die ik voor de huurprijs die betaald is niet haf verwacht. Het is ook makkelijk op te lossen dus even een weekendje liefde van de eigenaar ipv een huurder en alles zal weer in perfecte staat zijn.

This apartment is in a residential block, around a 20-30 min walk to town, so not too far and out of the noisier busier areas. It is on the top floor and has views over the countryside and towards the sea, as well as over other buildings. It is reasonably well-laid out inside and has most of the things required for a self-catering apartment. We were three adults and the space was fine. It would be OK for a family with 2 kids. It is close to the beach (50 metres or so) and to the walk along the beach and boardwalk towards town. It is also close to a good supermarket and a boulangerie. etc. Deauville is a great place to stay, with a range of good restaurants and lots of things to do in the surrounding area (need a car), or just to chill in the town and on the beach.

Firstly, the apartment is advertised as having a 24 hour reception desk and that arranging an arrival time with the host would lead to them welcoming you for the keys and access. In fact, it has no reception desk and it became clear while travelling there that the keys had to be picked up at a cafe in the centre of town. That wasnt a problem, but wasnt as advertised or expected. The apartment has two bedrooms and the space was OK, as above, but our group (of three) was all adults and the second bedroom had no storage space for hanging clothes etc.. The above points aren't too bad, but the main problem was that the apartment was not well cleaned on our arrival, even though the price includes a cleaning fee of 62 GBP. We had to clean thoroughly on the first full day there, to feel comfortable. Some furniture and fittings were stained and beyond their replacement date, requiring us to throw towels etc. over them for use. Cleaning products are advertised as available. They (and the vacuum cleaner) are in a cupboard beyond a door that asks you not to open it, but of course we had to access them. The drying rack and ironing board were also behind that door. Some minor repairs were needed, such as a kitchen door hanging off, which I repaired easily using screws and screwdrivers from that same cupboard, so no problem, but further indication of a lack of care and preparedness.
