The house is simple but comfortable if you are focused on skiing rather than luxury, and has a lot of personality like the mural wall where guests leave drawings and messages. Kame was flexible about check-in time, and cleared the snow for us. There is a well-stocked Seicomart a few minutes walk away, and Niseko-cho township has quality authentic restaurants (though reservations are recommended as the seating capacity is small). The town onsen is also excellent.
There is a room for snow equipment downstairs, but it doesn't really function as a drying room because it's hard to heat properly. It's not a big problem as the Japow is not wet, just means your ski boot plastic is a bit cold and hard in the morning.
