Borgo Santo Stefano

Amazing old place nicely restored, great balcony to cool off. I had the whole first floor to myself but usually the kitchen would be shared.

Lovely old renovated house in a quiet village. We especially liked sitting on the balcony overlooking the garden. We loved how the old ruins of the garden outbuilding give a bit of atmosphere to the renovations (is that an old ice-house at the end of the garden - and an old washhouse and a stable?) There was a portable air-conditioning unit in the family bedroom, which was fine for us. There is a spacious sitting area and kitchen (which is communal, but no other guests were there at the same time as us). The house was very clean, comfortable and well-equiped

It is a beautiful house with creative, quirky art works as decorations. The room was very spacious and we had access to a composite kitchen / living room.

As in both of the other two hotels where we stayed in Italy on our recent trip, the manager was off-site and communicated with us by text. That was for the most part fine, as she explained how we could get our key (in a locked box at the entrance with a code) and sent us pictures of the room and hallway. The only thing that went wrong was that her message did not indicate what floor the room was on, and so we bumbled around for a while on the ground floor looking for it, until our twelve-year old suggested that maybe we go one floor up--and there it was! Aside from this, everything went fine, and as I told the manager, it is a very special building where it's very pleasant to stay.

La déco intérieure de très bon goût et l’accueil de la propriétaire

Les photos sont trompeuses prises de nuit et retouchées. Logement situé au milieu de maisons en ruines. Chambre très bruyante avec un chien qui jappe la majeure partie de la nuit à 2 mètres de la fenêtre que l’on laisse ouverte car c’est la seule avec une moustiquaire compte tenu de la chaleur. Pas de parking pour la moto
