Proche du centre. Un grand merci pour nous avoir permis de laisser nos bagages dans le garage avant l'accès au logement afin de découvrir la ville.

Julio, our host, picked us up by car upon arrival in town in the morning and gave us a sightseeing tour before taking us to the appartment. Since it was too early to check in and they still had to clean it after the previous guest, we were allowwd to leave our things in his garage. All that was already above expectations, but then he even drove us the 5 km into the valley to the starting point of our hike! When we did not show up “home” at a reasonable time, he drove around town to see whether he could find us, which he did. The appartment is about 200 m from the main square and all the public transportation. It has a fullt equipped kitchen, incl a water boiler and a fridge. The bathroom is small, but practical. Nice hot water from the shower, cold water in the sink and kitchen, but that is no problem. Only place that had nightlamps. Julio and his family live in the same building, above. Asking were we could buy some eggs which we could not find in town, he promply presented us with a box of six eggs! And to conclude, he even organized an “aluguer”/public transportation to pick us up at our very door the morning of our departure. Also this was special, as we did not want to leave at the dawn of day, when most alugueres left for Porto Santo, so he sent us his cousin, the driver, which already had four pax in his van! I never had such a generous treatment at any accomodation if that level! I can only highly recommend Julio’s Santos Medina!
