A hidden gem! Ein wenig außerhalb vom Trouble von Ahangama haben sie hier etwas Wundervolles geschaffen. Tolles Ambiente, stilvoll eingerichtet, hilfsbereites freundliches Team, wahnsinnig gutes Essen. Man fühlt sich sb der ersten Sekunde pudelwohl und als wäre mein zu Gast bei Freunden.

The place is beautifully decorated and the outdoor shower was a dream.

However, something very unexpected happened during our stay that really dampened the experience. I left my Birkenstocks outside the door overnight, which is a very common and culturally typical thing to do in Sri Lanka. In the morning, I found them chewed up and destroyed—apparently by the property's dog. When I brought it up to the staff, they told me I shouldn’t have left my shoes outside. I understand hotel policies vary, but given the local customs and the fact that it’s common practice here, I felt this response lacked empathy. They did offer us free breakfast and a pair of slippers as compensation, which was appreciated—but honestly not what I was looking for. I would have expected some sort of reimbursement to help replace my shoes. If a guest broke something inside the hotel, they’d likely be charged full price—so I think the same logic should apply in reverse. Overall, not a terrible stay, but disappointing handling of an incident that could’ve been resolved with a bit more accountability.

My stay here was amazing. I loved how the guest house has been designed and is very modern. There is an area outside where you can do yoga, a lounge area and a cute little cafe. There are areas outside to sit and relax. Tara the manager was lovely and she was so friendly and greeted me on arrival along with Salty, the owners little puppy. She was so adorable, well behaved and loving. If you are afraid of dogs you have no reason to with her! The place is a little out of the way which means it's very quiet and only a 10 minute tuk tuk ride to the beach and shops. Definitely worth a stay if you are in Ahangama!

There is a guard at night to make sure your stay feels safe, if you are travelling alone do not get worried as you do feel very safe.
