Thank you!! This was a very supportive place to stay with patient communication. The food they offered was such a gift and very tasty traditional Egyptian options. The family that lives nearby is SO friendly and gentle. If you do not speak Arabic, they are more than willing to communicate via a phone translating app, and we actually had some very deep and meaningful conversations. The greenery around the area is a big bonus.
The location is not right in San El Hagar, but a small village about 20 minutes south. This still worked, but it was different from my expectation and what the listing implied.

Located very close to the ancient site of Tanis, this is a homestay where you can enjoy the countryside and true Egyptian hospitality! His mother and father were very sweet and kind, and even cooked homemade meals for me! They also have a very cute cat who likes to hang out on their spacious porch and nap, and I was allowed to park my motorcycle in their garage area at night for safekeeping. I was even given flowers and herbs when I left 🥰 Such a memorable stay, thank you so much Ayman and family!
